Photography Case Study. Relish are suppliers of specialist products and games for people living with dementia. Their aim is to help improve the overall wellbeing of people with dementia by providing fun, meaningful activities that help build relationships with their family, friends and caregivers.

We were briefed to create a library of images for Relish, showcasing their range of products for use on their website, social media and digital marketing materials. This included a mixture product and lifestyle shots in a variety of scenarios and locations.

Early in the production process, we provided guidance on the choice of models and location to suit Relish‘s brief and style guide. We planned shot lists, helping organise the arrangement of products and models to create variety within a consistent overall style.

The shoot was split into 3 days with a range of natural looking models booked for each day. The models were paired with specific products to match the shot list, enabling the shoot to run smoothly and ensuring we captured everything! We photographed each product category in a fresh and appealing style, creating realistic lifestyle settings both with and without models.

During the shoot, we also filmed some short video clips of the different the scenarios as the models enjoyed playing with the games, jigsaws and paints. Shooting into a laptop enabled the Relish team to see the images instantly so they could mark and select their favourite shots, helping us to speed up the post-production process. Back at the studio, we then processed and retouched the selected images, giving each a light retouch in Photoshop.

Overall we produced and supplied a large range of high quality high-resolution images, plus some short video clips, for use by Relish on their website, social media channels and other marketing materials such as print catalogues. You can see one of these videos on our Vimeo channel below:
